Vampire's Bite gives a creature +3/+0 and lifelink until end of turn for one black mana, with a kicker cost of two more mana to grant lifelink to all your creatures instead. It's a cheap combat trick in dedicated Vampire or lifegain shells, but too narrow for most Commander lists where instant-speed pump rarely swings outcomes.

In Commander, Vampire's Bite is a role-player in Vampire tribal or lifegain-matters builds — not a staple, but a cheap threat enabler that occasionally steals a combat step. In Legacy and Vintage it has no competitive presence; one-mana pump spells need to do something broken to see play in those formats, and this doesn't. Pauper is the format where Vampire's Bite is most at home, slotting into aggressive black decks that need cheap combat tricks to push through or survive racing scenarios. Modern and Pioneer have enough superior options that it never made the cut, and its absence from Standard and Pioneer rotations is no loss.

Price Context
Current price
$0.35 bulk tier
At $0.35, Vampire's Bite is deep bulk — the kind of card you pull from a box rather than order individually. It won't appreciate; supply vastly outpaces casual demand, and nothing in the competitive landscape is going to change that.
