Urborg Uprising returns two creatures from your graveyard to hand at instant speed — that's meaningful card advantage stapled to a flash body-recovery spell. The five-mana cost keeps it honest, but in graveyard-focused Commander decks it pulls double duty as recursion and hand refuel.

Urborg Uprising is a Commander card through and through — five mana is too slow for Pauper's tempo-driven commons metagame and too narrow for Legacy, where graveyard decks have access to far more efficient recursion. In Commander, the instant speed is the selling point: flashing in two creatures at end of turn before your untap step is the kind of tempo advantage the format's slower clock actually rewards. Graveyard-centric black decks — reanimator, aristocrats, sacrifice loops — will find the most use, since it converts a full bin into two live cards without requiring a dedicated recursion commander. Outside those archetypes, the five-mana price tag is steep enough that more flexible draw spells win the slot.

Current price
$0.11 bulk tier
At $0.11, Urborg Uprising is deep bulk — pick it out of a common box rather than paying any shipping premium for a single copy. Bulk instant-speed recursion spells don't spike unless a marquee graveyard commander gets printed, so expect this price to stay flat indefinitely.
