Urborg Justice forces an opponent to sacrifice creatures equal to the number of creatures you lost this turn — at instant speed, for two mana. It's a niche punishment spell that earns its slot in decks that expect to trade creatures in combat or sacrifice their own board, but does nothing in a vacuum.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Urborg Justice is a Commander card through and through — the multiplayer environment creates exactly the creature-loss events that power it up, and politics around who gets punished adds real decision tension. In Legacy and Vintage it's legal but entirely outclassed; those formats don't offer the repeated board battles that make reactive sacrifice effects worthwhile. Oathbreaker is the one other format where it could see fringe play, again only in aggressive or sacrifice-heavy shells.

Price Context
Current price
$3.16 cheap tier
At $3.16, Urborg Justice sits at the low end of the casual-staple tier — inexpensive enough to pick up on spec for the right deck without hesitation. It's a narrow card with a small audience, so don't expect the price to move much in either direction.
