Unnatural Endurance trades one mana for a +2/+2 buff and regeneration — enough to eat a removal spell and swing through a blocker on the same turn. It's a fine combat trick in aggressive black creature decks, but outside those shells it's too narrow to justify a slot.
Format Analysis

In Commander, Unnatural Endurance is a niche inclusion — regeneration shields your key creature from a single targeted removal spell, but the format's volume of exile effects makes it unreliable as a protection piece, and most black decks prefer recursive threats or broader protection like Heroic Intervention. Pauper is its best home, where one-mana combat tricks carry real weight in aggressive black strategies and the competition for protection spells is thinner. In Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer, faster, cleaner options exist at the same mana cost and Unnatural Endurance sees essentially no competitive play.

Price Context
Current price
$0.12 bulk tier
At $0.12, Unnatural Endurance is pure bulk — you'll find copies in any common box at your local store without thinking about it. The price reflects the card's narrow application; it has no trajectory upward unless a very specific aggressive Pauper archetype pushes demand.
