Undergrowth Stadium card art
Undergrowth Stadium enters untapped as long as you control two or more basic land types — a trivially met condition in any Golgari, Sultai, or four-color deck — and produces both green and black mana without a hitch. The cost is essentially nothing: decks that run it will almost never see it enter tapped, which is more than you can say for most dual lands at this price point, making it an easy include anywhere Leonardo, the Balance // Michelangelo, the Heart or any other green-black commander wants reliable fixing.

Leonardo, the BalanceMichelangelo, the Heart

Leonardo, the Balance // Michelangelo, the Heart

78.9% of decks · synergy 0.72

Leonardo, the Balance // Michelangelo, the Heart wants every piece of smooth green-black fixing it can find, and Undergrowth Stadium delivers untapped mana on curve without any setup in a shell that's already stuffing the yard and ramping hard.

02
Witherbloom, the Balancer

Witherbloom, the Balancer

60.0% of decks · synergy 0.21

Witherbloom, the Balancer is a life-total-matters engine that wants its mana base to just work — Undergrowth Stadium shows up untapped in a two-color deck that trivially meets the basic-land-type threshold, freeing up early turns for the real game plan.

03
Henzie "Toolbox" Torre

Henzie "Toolbox" Torre

44.5% of decks · synergy 0.15

Henzie "Toolbox" Torre lives in a three-color shell where every land that produces two colors without drawback is valuable, and Undergrowth Stadium's condition is easy to satisfy with a Forest and Swamp already in play.

04
Carth the Lion

Carth the Lion

53.6% of decks · synergy 0.15

Carth the Lion is a mono-black-adjacent commander who nonetheless often splashes green, and Undergrowth Stadium is one of the cleanest ways to add that second color with zero tempo loss.

oathbreaker

Commander is where Undergrowth Stadium earns its keep — 40-life games give you the luxury of a slightly slower start, but the Stadium almost never slows you down at all since any deck running both Forest and Swamp basics clears the two-basic-land-types bar by turn two at the latest. In Legacy and Vintage, it's technically legal but competes against an absurd pool of original dual lands and fetchlands, so it sees essentially no play there. Oathbreaker follows the same logic as Commander: Golgari and multicolor shells that meet the condition on curve will happily slot it in as cheap, reliable fixing.

Budget Alternatives

Cheaper options that do most of the same work

Golgari Rot Farm and Jungle Hollow both produce green and black mana at a fraction of the cost, though both enter tapped unconditionally — that's the direct trade-off against Undergrowth Stadium's conditional-but-usually-free entry. If you're in a fetchland-heavy build, Bayou is the ceiling in the other direction; for pure budget replacement, Woodland Cemetery hits a similar "enters untapped under a condition" niche and runs well under $3.

Price Context

Current price

$7.60 mid tier

At $7.60, Undergrowth Stadium sits comfortably in the mid tier — expensive enough to feel like a deliberate inclusion, cheap enough that it belongs in any serious Golgari or multicolor build without breaking a budget. It's a reprint-safe card that holds its price because demand is broad and steady across Commander, so you're unlikely to see dramatic movement in either direction.
