Uncovered Clues digs four cards deep and puts two of them in hand for two blue mana — the selection is real, but sorcery speed and the two-card floor make it a role-player, not a staple. Run it in spell-count decks that want bodies in the graveyard or need to chain instants and sorceries; skip it everywhere else.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |

| modern | legal |
| pioneer | legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
In Commander, Uncovered Clues is a niche include — the card pool is deep enough that most blue decks prefer unconditional draw, and four-deep selection at sorcery speed rarely pulls weight at a 100-card table. Pauper is where it earns real consideration: common-legal card selection is scarce, and decks built around instants and sorceries can chain Uncovered Clues into live spells reliably. In Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer it's outclassed by nearly every blue cantrip available, so it doesn't see competitive play. Oathbreaker shares enough of Commander's dynamics that the same caveat applies — only spell-synergy builds have any reason to run it.

$0.06 bulk tier
At $0.06, Uncovered Clues sits firmly in bulk territory and is unlikely to move. Grab a playset for pocket change if the deck calls for it — there's no financial risk either way.
