Umbral Juke is a one-mana instant that forces a sacrifice or hands you a Treasure — either way, it generates value while disrupting an opponent's board. At that cost, it earns a slot in any black shell that wants cheap interaction or sacrifice fodder.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t

In Commander, Umbral Juke punches above its mana cost: forcing a sacrifice hits indestructible threats that destruction spells miss, and the Treasure mode keeps it from being a blank when opponents have nothing worth killing. In Legacy and Vintage the effect is too slow and too conditional — those formats demand unconditional removal or free interaction, and a one-mana sorcery-speed sacrifice prompt doesn't make that cut. Modern and Pioneer are similar stories; Umbral Juke competes against Fatal Push and other efficient unconditional answers that simply end the conversation faster. Stick to Commander, where the modal flexibility and low cost do real work.

Price Context
Current price
$0.07 bulk tier
At $0.07, Umbral Juke sits firmly in bulk territory — you're essentially getting it for free whenever you order singles. Bulk rares rarely climb without a breakout combo or format shift, so don't expect the price to move, but at this cost there's no reason not to include it if the effect fits your deck.
