Tyrranax is a 7/6 trampler for six mana with no enters-the-battlefield effect, no protection, and no text beyond its stats — pure vanilla beef. At that cost, it competes against Primeval Titan, Grave Titan, and a dozen other six-drops that win games on their own; Tyrranax does not.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Tyrranax is legal in Commander, Legacy, Modern, Vintage, Pauper, and Oathbreaker, but legal doesn't mean playable. In Commander, a 7/6 trample for six needs to do something beyond exist — the format is full of six-drop threats that generate value on cast, enter, or attack, and Tyrranax does none of that. In Pauper it's actually a common, so the bar is lower, but aggressive green decks there either go wide or use efficient pump, and a six-mana vanilla doesn't fit either plan. Legacy and Vintage have such an absurd density of broken plays that Tyrranax is essentially a non-participant.

Price Context
Current price
$0.14 bulk tier
At $0.14, Tyrranax is deep bulk — the price reflects exactly what it is: a card with virtually no constructed demand. Don't expect that to change; vanilla creatures at this mana cost have no competitive home and no scarcity to drive a spike.
