Turn the Earth shuffles any number of target cards from graveyards back into their owners' libraries — a clean, instant-speed answer to graveyard strategies that also incidentally saves your own pieces from exile-based hate. It's a role-player, not a staple, and lives or dies by how graveyard-reliant your meta is.

In Commander, Turn the Earth fills a narrow slot: graveyard hate that doubles as recursion insurance, relevant against reanimator, Flashback loops, and self-mill strategies that close games off the bin. Competitive tables rarely reach for it when Tormod's Crypt and Rest in Peace exist, but casual pods where permanent hate feels antisocial make Turn the Earth a softer option that preserves relationships without doing nothing. In Legacy and Vintage the effect is too low-impact — those formats demand hate that sticks or exiles, not a one-shot shuffle. Modern and Pioneer have the same problem: graveyard decks are fast enough that a single sorcery-speed-adjacent instant that doesn't exile rarely shifts the game state enough to matter.

Price Context
Current price
$0.14 bulk tier
At $0.14, Turn the Earth is deep bulk — you're paying for cardboard and ink, not scarcity. Bulk commons stay bulk; there's no meaningful price ceiling here unless the card sees a sudden spike in competitive play, which the current design doesn't support.
