Treetop Rangers is legal in Commander, Legacy, Vintage, Pauper, and Oathbreaker, but only Pauper and Commander are worth discussing. In Pauper, forestwalk has fringe relevance given how many green decks exist in the format, but a 2/2 for three is still below the power floor of competitive lists. In Commander, Treetop Rangers is nearly unplayable in the general case — three mana for a 2/2 with conditional evasion doesn't move the needle in a 40-life multiplayer format.
