Traumatic Revelation
Sorcery
Target opponent reveals their hand. You may choose a creature or battle card from it. If you do, that player discards that card. If you don't, incubate 3. (Create an Incubator token with three +1/+1 counters on it and ": Transform this token." It transforms into a 0/0 Phyrexian artifact creature.)

Traumatic Revelation puts three cards into your graveyard and one into your hand — net card-neutral looting at instant speed for two mana. It's a clean enabler for graveyard strategies and nothing else; outside of reanimator or threshold shells it has no business in a deck.
Format Analysis

In Commander, Traumatic Revelation earns its slot in dedicated graveyard decks — reanimator, zombie tribal, and Muldrotha-style value engines all want cheap, instant-speed self-mill that replaces itself. In Pauper it competes with Faithless Looting and Strategic Planning at the same cost, and it mostly loses that fight unless the deck specifically needs milling three rather than discarding two. Modern and Legacy have deep enough card pools that Traumatic Revelation rarely makes the cut outside of fringe mill-synergy brews. Oathbreaker mirrors Commander's verdict: powerful in the right shell, irrelevant outside it.
