Topple exiles the creature with the highest power on the battlefield — no targeting, no protection clause matters, no regeneration saves it. One white mana for unconditional removal of the biggest threat is a real rate, and the exile clause means it handles indestructible and graveyard-recursive threats alike.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
In Commander, Topple punches well above its mana cost — the biggest creature at any given table is usually the most dangerous one, and exile at instant speed for a single white pip is efficient by the format's standards. The catch is that it hands opponents perfect information about which creature is safe and which isn't, and if two creatures tie for highest power it does nothing. In Pauper, removal at common that dodges protection and indestructible is legitimately playable, though sorcery speed would be a real upgrade. Legacy and Vintage have faster, more flexible answers, so Topple sees essentially no play there despite being legal.

$0.08 bulk tier
At $0.08, Topple is deep bulk — pick it out of a common box rather than paying shipping for a single copy. Bulk white removal rarely climbs in price, so there's no reason to buy more than you need right now.
