Tolarian Geyser bounces a creature and draws a card — two effects on one card — but five mana at sorcery speed is a steep ask for a tempo play that leaves the creature available to recast immediately. It's filler in most lists; the only reason to run it is if you're actively looping enters-the-battlefield triggers and need another bounce spell at common.
Format Analysis

In Commander, Tolarian Geyser is too slow and too fair — five mana at sorcery speed against three opponents means you're usually trading down on tempo, and the card draw doesn't offset that. Pauper is its most realistic home, where the common slot matters and bounce-plus-draw on a single card has real utility in tempo or ETB-loop shells. In Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer the competition at five mana is brutal and this never sees play. Vintage has better options at every point on the curve.

Price Context
Current price
$0.08 bulk tier
At $0.08, Tolarian Geyser is deep bulk — you're paying for cardboard, not power. It holds that price floor reliably because casual demand for bounce spells keeps bulk commons moving, but don't expect any upward movement.
