Titan's Revenge

Sorcery

Titan's Revenge deals X damage to any target. Clash with an opponent. If you win, return Titan's Revenge to its owner's hand. (Each clashing player reveals the top card of their library, then puts that card on their choice of the top or bottom. A player wins if their card had a greater mana value.)

Titan's Revenge card art
Titan's Revenge deals damage equal to the caster's life total to any target — a ceiling that scales into the dozens in a Commander game. The cost is real: you pay X equal to your own life total, so casting it at full power is a one-way trip.

Titan's Revenge is a Commander card almost by definition — the 40-life starting total and life-gain subthemes that dominate the format are exactly what push the damage ceiling into lethal range. In Legacy and Vintage it's technically legal but competes against efficient burn and faster clocks that make a sorcery-speed life-payment unplayable. Modern has the same problem: you don't survive long enough to accumulate a life total worth spending. Commander is where Titan's Revenge has a real home, specifically in decks that can pile life totals above 40 before pointing it at a player's face.

Price Context

Current price

$0.36 bulk tier

At $0.36, Titan's Revenge sits firmly in bulk territory. It's a niche card with a narrow home, so demand stays low and the price is unlikely to climb without a Commander precon or reprint event pushing it into the spotlight.
