Tireless Hauler // Dire-Strain Brawler card art
Tireless Hauler // Dire-Strain Brawler flips a 3/3 trample body into a 7/6 trample beater that can steal a blocker on attack — real pressure for a three-mana entry. Tovolar, Dire Overlord decks run it because every Wolf or Werewolf that attacks feeds the transformation engine, and a 7/6 trample closing on turn five is not a bluff.

Tovolar, Dire Overlord

15.9% of decks · synergy 0.15

Tovolar, Dire Overlord triggers off each Wolf and Werewolf you control that deals combat damage, and Tireless Hauler // Dire-Strain Brawler contributes on both axes — it attacks as a Wolf before flipping, then threatens a forced-block steal as Dire-Strain Brawler to clear the way for the rest of your board.

In Commander, Tireless Hauler // Dire-Strain Brawler is a tribal piece first — it belongs in Werewolf and Wolf synergy decks and has little pull outside them. In Pauper it's legal and the power ceiling is real enough that a Gruul aggro shell could use the 7/6 trample mode to close games where cheaper threats stall. Modern and Pioneer have enough three-drop competition that it only makes the cut in dedicated Werewolf builds, where the daylight/nighttime transformation density rewards running the full creature roster. Legacy and Vintage have zero interest — the rate doesn't clear the bar where non-synergy slots compete.

Price Context

Current price

$0.12 bulk tier

At $0.12, Tireless Hauler // Dire-Strain Brawler is deep bulk — no financial consideration needed, just pick up copies whenever you see them. Bulk Werewolves rarely spike unless a new tribal commander generates demand, so don't expect movement.
