Thunderscape Master offers two activated abilities — drain 2 life from target opponent or give a creature -1/-1 until end of turn — stapled onto a five-mana 2/2, and that body-to-cost ratio is where the card falls apart. Thunderscape Master asks too much mana to do too little; it sees play almost exclusively in decks that generate tokens to sacrifice for its abilities or care specifically about its Kavu creature type.
