Thraben Foulbloods is a 3/2 with deathtouch when it enters the battlefield if you control a Zombie or have a Zombie in your graveyard — a reasonable body with a relevant keyword for three mana. The condition is easy enough to meet in dedicated tribal shells, but outside of Zombie synergy, this is a vanilla 3/2 that doesn't earn its roster spot.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Thraben Foulbloods is bulk in every format it's legal in. Pauper is the only context where a conditional-deathtouch three-drop might see a second look, and even there the competition at three mana is stiff enough that it doesn't make the cut. In Commander, Zombie tribal lists have better three-drops — lords, token generators, and recursion engines that pull more weight. Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer don't want this at any price.

Price Context
Current price
$0.05 bulk tier
At $0.05, Thraben Foulbloods is deep bulk — you're paying for cardboard and nothing else. That price is stable for the same reason it's low: demand is effectively zero, and no competitive context is going to change that.
