Tezzeret's Gatebreaker is a Commander card, full stop. In EDH, Gate synergy decks — especially those built around Maze's End or heavy Guildgate fixing — can deploy a 5/5 menace threat for three mana that attacks without tapping, which is genuinely powerful in a strategy that otherwise struggles to close games. In Modern and Pioneer the Gate archetype exists on the fringes, but three mana for a conditional beater that requires you to have already resolved a Gate is too slow against interactive decks. Legacy and Vintage have no Gate shell worth discussing, and the card sees zero play there. This is a bulk uncommon doing one specific job well in exactly one format.
