Territorial Roc

In Commander, Territorial Roc occupies a niche role in white defensive strategies, where blocking flyers and taxing small creatures matters less than interaction and card advantage — most tables will have it outclassed by turn four. Pauper is where Territorial Roc has the most legitimate claim: the format's creature density and reliance on small attackers make the damage-prevention clause functionally relevant across multiple turns. In Modern and Pioneer the power floor is simply too low; two-mana creatures compete with threats that close games, not stall them. Legacy and Vintage don't need it. Pauper skies or white weenie sideboards are the honest home.
