Take Heart card art
Take Heart trades cheap mana for a small pump and life gain tied to your attacking creatures — the ceiling is real in go-wide aggro, but the effect is narrow enough that it rarely earns a slot outside dedicated lifegain or token strategies. One white mana for +2/+2 and potentially several life is fine; the condition that you need creatures already swinging means it does nothing on a stalled board.

Format Analysis

Where it lives, where it can’t

In Commander, Take Heart is too low-impact for most tables — a single-target instant that requires an attacking creature is hard to justify in a format where you're fighting three opponents. It sees the most play in lifegain-matters decks where every point counts, or token swarm builds that can reliably pile up the life gain. In Pauper, white aggressive and heroic shells have occasional use for it as a combat trick that also stabilizes life totals. Legacy, Vintage, and Modern have enough redundancy at this effect level that Take Heart doesn't make the cut competitively. Pioneer offers the same verdict — the card exists, it's legal, but superior pump spells crowd it out.

$0.09 bulk tier

At $0.09, Take Heart is deep bulk — you'll find copies in any common bin without looking hard. It won't appreciate; this is the kind of card that stays at a dime indefinitely.
