Syr Faren, the Hengehammer turns any attack into a pseudo-doubling effect — when it swings, another target creature gets +X/+0 until end of turn where X is Syr Faren's power, effectively letting you funnel its stats into a bigger threat. Two mana for a 2/2 with this kind of combat math is a real rate, but it demands a power-stacking shell to be anything more than a curiosity.

In Commander, Syr Faren, the Hengehammer earns a slot in Voltron or green stompy lists that stack power on a single creature — the more you pump Syr Faren, the nastier the bonus gets on whatever else is swinging alongside it. Competitive 60-card formats (Modern, Pioneer, Legacy) don't have much use for it; two mana for a 2/2 that needs a second attacker to convert value is too slow and too dependent on board state to see serious play. Vintage has better two-drops in every direction. Oathbreaker is the one fringe exception, where it can serve as a signature-spell-adjacent threat in aggressive green builds, but even there it's a role-player at best.

Price Context
Current price
$0.19 bulk tier
At $0.19, Syr Faren, the Hengehammer is deep bulk — you're paying for cardboard, not demand. That price is stable because it's a narrow build-around with a small competitive footprint, so don't expect movement in either direction.
