Syr Elenora, the Discerning

Commander is where Syr Elenora, the Discerning actually belongs — high hand-size counts are achievable there, and the ward trigger taxing opponents one card per targeting attempt is meaningful in a multiplayer game where card advantage is precious. In Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer she competes against five-mana threats that win the game rather than defend it, and a passive power-scales-with-hand-size body simply doesn't make the cut. Vintage is theoretically legal but the same problem applies at an even steeper power threshold. Oathbreaker could support her in a Simic or mono-blue hand-size shell, though the format's smaller life totals make a defensive beater less impactful.
