Symbol of Unsummoning card art
Symbol of Unsummoning bounces a creature back to its owner's hand for two mana at instant speed — functional, but competing against Unsummon at one mana and Vapor Snag at one mana with a life loss rider makes it hard to justify the extra cost. Outside of niche blink or spell-copy synergies where the card name or spell type matters, there's almost always a better option.

In Commander, Symbol of Unsummoning is a role-player at best — bounce is never bad, but two mana for a single-target tempo play without any upside is a tough sell in a 100-card singleton format where slots are precious. Pauper is the most realistic home: the card is common-legal and tempo strategies exist at that rarity floor, though even there Vapor Snag and Unsummon dominate the same slot. Legacy and Vintage are non-starters; those formats move too fast for a two-mana sorcery-speed-adjacent effect with no additional text. Symbol of Unsummoning is a draft common doing draft common things — it doesn't translate well to constructed.

Pricing data isn't currently available for Symbol of Unsummoning, which itself signals where the card lands in demand — bulk common territory. If you need a copy, expect to find it in a commons box for pennies or bundled into a lot, not as a meaningful purchase on its own.
