Symbiotic Wurm is a Commander card through and through — seven mana and a death-trigger payoff fit a multiplayer environment where games go long and board wipes are expected. In Legacy and Vintage, where it's technically legal, it's far too slow and fragile to see play. Commander is the only format where the death-trigger math actually pays off: your opponents will often clear the board for you, and seven Insects after a wrath is a genuine recovery tool. Outside of Baru, Wurmspeaker and similar Wurm or token-matters shells, it's fringe even in Commander.
