Sweep the Skies clears every non-land permanent your opponents control for X blue mana, where X is the number of permanents — a one-sided exile wipe that scales with the board state. The cost is steep and telegraphed, but the payoff is absolute: no regeneration, no indestructible, no tokens left behind.

In Commander, Sweep the Skies occupies a narrow but real niche as a one-sided exile wipe in blue, a color that normally struggles to answer resolved permanents en masse. The mana requirement is punishing — a full table board state can push the cost into the teens — so it belongs in dedicated big-mana or storm-adjacent decks that can reliably hit that threshold. In Legacy and Vintage it has no real role; those formats move too fast for a sorcery-speed X-spell to matter, and neither format rewards this kind of effect at that cost. Sweep the Skies is a Commander card through and through, and even there it's a build-around inclusion rather than a generic slot.

$0.21 bulk tier
At $0.21, Sweep the Skies is deep bulk — easy to acquire and easy to test without financial commitment. Bulk rares with narrow applications rarely climb unless a commander breaks them wide open, so don't expect this to move.
