Supply Drop creates three Treasure tokens for four mana — functional ramp that replaces itself in value, but arrives a full turn behind Smothering Tithe and costs you a card to cast. It's fine in budget builds that need redundancy on treasure generation, and nowhere else.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
In Commander, Supply Drop occupies the budget slot for Treasure generation — playable if you're building around sacrifice outlets or need a fifth or sixth redundant piece, but it competes with cheaper and more efficient options at every converted mana cost. In Pauper, where the card pool is commons-only, Supply Drop has more room to breathe as a ramp and fixing piece in slower artifact-synergy shells. Legacy, Vintage, and Modern all ignore it entirely — four mana for three Treasures doesn't approach the tempo those formats demand. Pioneer and Oathbreaker are theoretically legal but offer no compelling home.

Price Context
Current price
$0.09 bulk tier
At $0.09, Supply Drop is deep bulk — you're paying for cardboard, not scarcity. That price is stable by definition; bulk commons don't spike unless a combo breaks them, and nothing about Supply Drop suggests that's coming.
