Structural Collapse destroys all artifacts and all lands — a sweeper that hits two of the most oppressive permanent types in Commander simultaneously. Seven mana is a real cost, but the asymmetry you build around it makes it one of the most punishing reset buttons in the format.

Structural Collapse is a Commander card first and foremost — the format's longer games, richer artifact density, and greedy mana bases make wiping both categories genuinely backbreaking. In competitive pods, it answers Sol Ring, Mana Vault, and Cabal Coffers in a single spell, which almost nothing else does at any price. In Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer it's too slow and too situational; those formats end before seven mana resolves a symmetrical reset. Pauper is the one exception worth noting — artifact-land synergy decks exist, and Structural Collapse is a legal haymaker there, though the seven-mana ceiling still limits it to sideboard consideration at best.
