Stromgald Spy
Creature — Human Rogue
Whenever this creature attacks and isn't blocked, you may have defending player play with their hand revealed for as long as this creature remains on the battlefield. If you do, this creature assigns no combat damage this turn.

Stromgald Spy lets you look at an opponent's hand whenever the creature it's blocking deals damage to it — a conditional information effect stapled to a 2/1 body for two mana. The payoff is real in the right shell, but the trigger requiring Stromgald Spy to be blocking limits it to reactive situations where you don't control the timing.

Commander is where Stromgald Spy has any real home, specifically in black decks that care about hand information — discard, Rack effects, or knowing when to drop targeted removal. In Legacy and Vintage, a 2/1 that reveals a card only while blocking is far too slow and situational to see play when far more efficient disruption exists. Oathbreaker follows the same logic as Commander at smaller scale: useful in the right build, ignored everywhere else.

Price Context
Current price
$0.15 bulk tier
At $0.15, Stromgald Spy is deep bulk — the price reflects how narrow the effect is. It won't climb unless a future commander creates a dedicated hand-information archetype that needs every available piece.
