Stream Hopper gives you a cheap, repeatable way to push damage through by paying one mana to grant unblockability for a turn — the ceiling is as high as the creature you're targeting. At one mana for a 1/1 with a relevant activated ability, it earns its slot in any deck that wants to connect reliably with combat triggers.

In Commander, Stream Hopper fits blue-based decks that live on combat damage triggers — voltron commanders and Rogues or Merfolk strategies that need guaranteed hits. In Pauper, it's a functional common in tempo and aggro shells where evasion for a single blue mana can close out a game. Legacy and Vintage are too fast for a 1/1 body with a tap-and-pay ability to matter. Stream Hopper is a Commander and Pauper card; everywhere else, the rate doesn't hold up.

$0.10 bulk tier
At $0.10, Stream Hopper is deep bulk — you're paying for the function, not the card. Bulk commons with narrow applications don't appreciate, so grab a copy when you need it and don't think twice about it.
