Stormrider Rig enters and immediately puts a +1/+1 counter and a relevant keyword counter on the equipped creature — all for one mana to cast and one to equip. In Koll, the Forgemaster builds and any deck that cares about counters or keyword soup, that front-loaded value makes it one of the most efficient one-mana Equipment in the format.

Stormrider Rig is legal in Commander, Legacy, Modern, Pioneer, Vintage, and Oathbreaker. Commander is where it does real work — low-cost Equipment slots perfectly into Voltron strategies, counter-synergy builds, and any commander that rewards suiting up a single creature cheaply. In Constructed formats like Modern and Pioneer it's too low-impact to see competitive play, but it's a reasonable budget include in any casual Equipment shell. Legacy and Vintage have no use for it at all.
