Stingscourger card art
Stingscourger bounces any creature your opponent controls back to their hand, and the echo cost means you can let it die next upkeep rather than pay again — a two-mana removal spell that happens to leave a 2/2 body behind for a turn. It's a clean, repeatable-if-you-want-it tempo play, and in any deck that recurs or blinks creatures, the echo clause stops being a drawback entirely.

Stingscourger is almost exclusively a Commander card — in Legacy, Modern, and Vintage, bouncing a creature for two mana with a built-in expiration date is far too slow against the threats those formats present. Pauper is where it sees marginal competitive play, mostly in tempo and flicker shells that can exploit the echo trigger as a free sacrifice. In Commander, it earns its slot in Goblin tribal decks under Krenko, Mob Boss or similar, and becomes genuinely powerful in any deck running Conjurer's Closet, Erratic Portal effects, or commanders like Brago, King Eternal that reset the echo clock every turn.

Price Context

Current price

$0.07 bulk tier

At $0.07, Stingscourger is deep bulk — you're paying for cardboard and shipping, not the card itself. The price is stable because casual demand is steady but narrow; don't expect movement in either direction.
