Stalking Yeti enters the battlefield and immediately kills a creature, then threatens to do it again every time it phases out and returns — that's a repeatable removal engine stapled to a 2/2 body. The catch is symmetry: it deals damage equal to its own power, so anything with 3 or more toughness survives unless you've pumped it.

Commander is where Stalking Yeti earns its keep, specifically in decks that can flicker it, grant it haste, or pump its power before the trigger resolves — turning a 2-damage ping into a 5-damage execution. In Legacy and Vintage, the competition at three mana is brutal and Stalking Yeti's symmetrical damage clause makes it unreliable as spot removal, so it sees essentially no play there. Modern has the same problem: dedicated removal spells do the job faster and cleaner without a 2/2 body attached. Stalking Yeti is a Commander-only proposition.

Price Context
Current price
$0.19 bulk tier
At $0.19, Stalking Yeti is deep bulk — you're paying for cardboard, not scarcity. The price is stable because demand is narrow and supply is plentiful; don't expect movement in either direction.
