In Commander, Squash is a role-player in Giant tribal and barely registers anywhere else — the Giant clause is a hard gate, and most Commander decks have no reason to meet it. In Pauper, one-mana removal that kills most creatures in the format is legitimately powerful, and Giants see fringe play there, though the tribal restriction keeps it out of general use. Modern and Pioneer have efficient unconditional removal at similar or lower cost, so Squash doesn't compete outside of dedicated Giant builds. Legacy and Vintage have no interest in it whatsoever.
