Squad Rallier enters and returns a creature with mana value 2 or less from your graveyard to the battlefield — that's a free recursive body stapled to a 3/2 for three mana. The rate is real in any deck that churns through small creatures, and the floor is never nothing.
Format Analysis

In Commander, Squad Rallier earns its slot in go-wide and aristocrats strategies that treat the graveyard as a second hand — recurring a sacrificed Sakura-Tribe Elder, a Viscera Seer, or any other cheap utility creature every time it re-enters keeps the engine turning. Outside Commander, Squad Rallier is legal across every major format but hasn't cracked competitive lists in any of them; three mana for a 3/2 with a conditional ETB is a fair rate but not a pushed one, and Modern and Pioneer have cheaper recursive options. Pauper is where it warrants the closest look, since the creature density and graveyard synergies at common can make the ETB trigger more reliably impactful.

Price Context
Current price
$0.08 bulk tier
At $0.08, Squad Rallier is deep bulk — pick it out of a commons box, not a singles order. Bulk rares with narrow applications rarely climb, so don't expect the price to move unless a new commander pushes recursive ETB payoffs into the spotlight.
