Spirit of the Spires gives every other Spirit you control +0/+1 and flying — a static anthem that compounds fast in any Spirit-tribal shell. Four mana for a 1/4 flier is not exciting on its own, but the pump effect makes it worth the slot whenever you're running eight or more Spirits.

Spirit of the Spires is a Commander card first and almost exclusively. In Spirit-tribal decks it functions as a lord with evasion attached, and the toughness anthem stacks with copies and similar effects to make your board surprisingly hard to trade into. In Modern and Pioneer it's strictly outclassed — those formats have access to faster, more impactful Spirit payoffs, and a four-mana 1/4 with no enters-the-battlefield effect doesn't clear the bar. Legacy and Vintage are non-starters for the same reason at ten times the competition. Stick to Commander, where the 99-card singleton format rewards niche tribal pieces and the slower pace lets Spirit of the Spires do its job.
