Spireside Infiltrator enters, taps an artifact, deals 1 damage to any target, and draws you a card — that's real value stapled to a 2/1 body for three mana. The floor is too low for most formats, but in dedicated artifact-tap shells it punches above its cost.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t

Spireside Infiltrator is a fringe Pauper card at best — the format has efficient commons that do more for less, but dedicated artifact-tap brews can squeeze real card advantage out of it. In Modern and Pioneer it doesn't clear the bar; three mana for a 2/1 with a conditional tap trigger is outclassed by the format's speed and power density. Commander is its best home: artifact synergy decks at lower power levels can chain its trigger with Vehicles or tap-outlet commanders to draw cards and chip in damage while doing something else useful.
