Spellkeeper Weird lets you recast an instant or sorcery from your graveyard each turn — a repeatable recursion engine stapled to a 2/3 body for three mana. The catch is it only works while Spellkeeper Weird is tapped, so you need either an untap outlet or a reliable way to send it into combat every turn to get full value.

In Commander, Spellkeeper Weird slots into spellslinger decks that want to loop key instants and sorceries — think Mizzix of the Izmagnus or Kalamax, the Stormsire builds that already live in the graveyard. Pauper is where it competes hardest, since recursion at common is rare and a 2/3 body is actually relevant on that board; aggressive blue-red spell decks will test it seriously. In Modern and Legacy, Spellkeeper Weird is simply too slow — three mana for a 2/3 with a conditional triggered ability doesn't clear the bar when those formats have access to Snapcaster Mage and Torrential Gearhulk. Pioneer sits in a similar spot: the effect is real, but the competition at the three-drop slot is stiff enough that Spellkeeper Weird won't make non-casual cuts.
