Speakeasy Server enters tapped, makes a Food token, and taps for one mana of any color — three lines of text that add up to a reasonable utility package for decks that care about artifacts, Food, or both. The cost is real: it costs three mana for an effect that doesn't immediately affect the board, so it belongs in decks that can extract extra value from it, not as generic ramp.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
In Commander, Speakeasy Server is a role-player in Food synergy decks — Gyome, Master Chef or Atraxa builds that chain life gain off Food triggers will get more mileage than a generic five-color goodstuff pile will. In Pauper, the combination of mana fixing and incidental Food generation is worth evaluating in artifact-matters shells, where the common restriction makes three-mana mana rocks more defensible. Speakeasy Server is legal across Legacy, Modern, Pioneer, Vintage, and Oathbreaker, but those formats set a higher bar for three-mana do-nothing permanents and it won't see meaningful play in any of them.

$0.06 bulk tier
At $0.06, Speakeasy Server is deep bulk — pick it up from a commons box rather than paying shipping for a single copy. Bulk rare prices this low don't move unless a combo breaks the card wide open, and nothing on the horizon points that direction.
