Spare from Evil grants all your non-Human creatures protection from Humans until end of turn — a one-sided combat trick and removal shield on a single white instant for two mana. It's a narrow card with a real ceiling in the right tribal shell, and a dead draw everywhere else.

Spare from Evil is a Commander card first and almost exclusively. The Human tribal density in most pods is high enough that this can blank an opponent's entire attack or save a key piece from a targeted Human creature's ability, but it only earns a slot in decks that specifically care about non-Human creatures — Spirits, Elves, Zombies, and similar tribes where the effect is consistently live. In Pauper it's legal but competes with more universally applicable protection spells and sees essentially no play. Legacy and Vintage have access to far more efficient interaction, so Spare from Evil never registers there. Outside of Commander, treat it as unplayable.

Price Context
Current price
$0.15 bulk tier
At $0.15, Spare from Evil is deep bulk — it costs less than a sleeve. That price accurately reflects its narrow application; don't expect it to climb unless a Human-heavy commander breaks into the competitive spotlight and makes non-Human protection a staple.
