Soulless One card art
Soulless One enters as a credible threat in any Zombie deck — its power and toughness match the total Zombie count across all graveyards and battlefields, which means it regularly arrives as a 10/10 or larger for four mana. Ghoulcaller Gisa in particular can push that number obscenely high, making Soulless One one of the most efficient finishers the tribe has access to.

Ghoulcaller Gisa generates a flood of Zombie tokens on demand, and every one of those tokens inflates Soulless One — tap a large creature, make five Zombies, and your Soulless One just grew by five before the turn ends.

Commander is where Soulless One actually belongs — four players mean four graveyards worth of Zombies counting toward its size, and tribal synergy from a dedicated commander multiplies that further. In Legacy and Vintage, it's technically legal but competes in environments where a four-mana vanilla-adjacent creature without evasion or immediate impact can't justify its slot. Oathbreaker offers a narrower tribal window, and a Zombie-tribal Oathbreaker shell can make Soulless One legitimately threatening, though the format's smaller starting hand size and faster pace put pressure on the four-mana investment. Outside dedicated Zombie builds, Soulless One does nothing — the payoff is entirely contingent on board density.

Price Context

Current price

$0.98 bulk tier

At $0.98, Soulless One sits at the top edge of bulk, and that price reflects its narrow application — it belongs in exactly one archetype and nowhere else. It holds that dollar reasonably well given consistent Zombie-tribal demand in Commander, but don't expect movement in either direction.
