Soulblade Renewer enters the battlefield and immediately hands every creature you control a +1/+1 counter, then keeps the engine running by proliferating whenever an equipped creature deals combat damage. The cost is a five-mana 3/3 body that does nothing if your board is empty and stalls out against non-combat strategies.
Format Analysis

Commander is the only format where Soulblade Renewer earns consistent play, and specifically in equipment-heavy or counter-synergy decks that can guarantee a stocked board on turn five. Commanders built around proliferate payoffs or +1/+1 counter scaling get real mileage from the enter trigger alone, and the combat damage clause compounds quickly when multiple equipped creatures are swinging. Legacy and Vintage are technically legal formats for it, but the card has no business in either — the power level gap is too wide. Outside Commander, Soulblade Renewer doesn't have a home.

Price Context
Current price
$0.07 bulk tier
At $0.07, Soulblade Renewer is pure bulk — pick it up in any common/uncommon lot without a second thought. Bulk rares with narrow applications rarely climb in price, so don't expect this one to move unless a future commander dramatically inflates demand.
