Soul of Emancipation enters and immediately destroys up to three nonland permanents across any combination of opponents, then leaves a 3/3 flying body behind when it dies. Seven mana is the full ask, but the board impact at that cost is real — this is a one-card answer to three threats that also demands a removal spell.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t

Commander is where Soul of Emancipation earns its slot — a three-for-one removal spell with a body attached is exactly the kind of card that justifies the seven-mana investment in a 40-life, multiplayer game. In blink-heavy shells it becomes a repeatable board-control engine, and even a single trigger across three opponents pulls significant tempo. Legacy, Modern, Vintage, and Pioneer are all technically legal, but a seven-mana sorcery-speed permanent competes with formats that end games before turn four, so practical inclusion there is essentially zero. Oathbreaker's tighter deck construction and 20-life total make the cost even harder to justify outside of dedicated ramp builds.

Price Context
Current price
$0.18 bulk tier
At $0.18, Soul of Emancipation is deep bulk — the kind of card you pick up as a throw-in or find in a precon-level trade binder. At that price it overdelivers for casual Commander tables, but don't expect the price to climb; powerful-but-expensive enters a crowded bracket and supply from sealed product keeps the floor low.
