Slith Predator is a 1/1 green creature for two mana that gets a +1/+1 counter every time it deals combat damage to a player — snowballing fast if left unanswered. The ceiling is real, but it needs a clear path to connect repeatedly, which makes it better in decks that can guarantee trample or evasion than as a standalone threat.

In Commander, Slith Predator earns a slot in counter-focused green strategies — Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider or Brokkos, Apex of Forever shells that already want bodies growing over time. The problem is that a 1/1 with no built-in evasion frequently stalls against blockers in a four-player game, so it needs support to reliably trigger. In Legacy and Vintage it's simply outclassed — two mana for a vanilla-until-it-connects creature doesn't compete with the threats those formats present. Modern is the same story: the power bar is too high for Slith Predator to find a home outside of niche stompy brews.

Price Context
Current price
$0.13 bulk tier
At $0.13, Slith Predator is bulk — the kind of card you pick up as a playset without thinking about it. It won't appreciate; the demand ceiling for a niche counters creature in older formats is low, and supply is plentiful.
