Sorcery
Domain — Search your library for up to two land cards that each have a basic land type, put them onto the battlefield tapped, then shuffle. Look at the top X cards of your library, where X is the number of basic land types among lands you control. Put up to one of them on top of your library and the rest on the bottom of your library in a random order.

Slimefoot's Survey puts up to four basic lands into play tapped — that's a four-mana spell that can represent eight or more mana in raw land value, with each extra land beyond the first being pure upside over a Cultivate. The catch is the tapped clause and the cap on basics, but in any deck running 8+ basic land types, this is one of the most explosive ramp spells available at its cost.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t

Slimefoot's Survey is almost exclusively a Commander card — the format's 100-card singleton structure means running a wide basic land spread is easy, and games go long enough that the tapped penalty is a small tax on a massive mana swing. In competitive 60-card formats like Modern and Pioneer, four mana for lands that enter tapped is too slow and too inconsistent; those formats want Cultivate effects at two mana or not at all. Legacy and Vintage don't need it — those formats have broken mana engines that make land ramp irrelevant. Commander at higher land diversity is where Slimefoot's Survey is genuinely good, particularly in five-color or domain-style builds that naturally run all five basic types.

Price Context
Current price
$0.11 bulk tier
At $0.11, Slimefoot's Survey sits firmly in bulk territory — you're paying almost nothing for a card that pulls real weight in the right shell. Bulk ramp spells this powerful tend to tick up once players discover them, but at this price it's a near-automatic include before any price movement matters.
