Slayers' Stronghold turns any creature into an immediate threat — two mana at instant speed grants +2/+0, vigilance, and haste, which means the creature you just cast can attack the same turn and still block. The cost is a land slot and the two-mana activation, both of which are trivial in decks like Najeela, the Blade-Blossom or Cloud, Ex-SOLDIER where one surprise attacker changes the math entirely.
Best Commanders
Commanders with the highest synergy

Cloud, Ex-SOLDIER
Cloud, Ex-SOLDIER cares about attacking with creatures that have counters on them, and Slayers' Stronghold lets him swing in the same turn he hits the board — no waiting, no telegraphing, just immediate damage and triggers.

Wyleth, Soul of Steel
Wyleth, Soul of Steel needs to attack to draw cards, and Slayers' Stronghold gives him haste the turn he enters so that the draw engine starts immediately rather than a full turn later.

Neyali, Suns' Vanguard
Neyali, Suns' Vanguard wants tokens swinging as often as possible, and Slayers' Stronghold's vigilance bonus means those tokens attack without tapping — doubling the pressure while keeping blockers up.

Nelly Borca, Impulsive Accuser
Nelly Borca, Impulsive Accuser forces combat, and Slayers' Stronghold lets her enter and immediately attack before opponents can react, maximizing the window where she's live on the board.

Osgir, the Reconstructor
Osgir, the Reconstructor rebuilds artifact creatures from the graveyard, and Slayers' Stronghold gets those reconstructed threats into combat the same turn they arrive — no waiting for summoning sickness to wear off.

Commander is where Slayers' Stronghold does its best work — the one-time haste grant on a utility land slots into almost any Boros or multicolor deck that wants to attack, and the zero opportunity cost of running a land keeps it competitive with dedicated haste enablers. In Legacy and Vintage it's legal but essentially invisible; those formats move too fast for a two-mana activated ability on a colorless land to matter. Modern sees occasional fringe play in creature-based combo shells that need a redundant haste source that doesn't cost a spell slot, but it's not a staple there. Slayers' Stronghold is, in practice, a Commander card through and through.

$0.35 bulk tier
At $0.35, Slayers' Stronghold is bulk by any measure — you're paying almost nothing for a land that pulls real weight in attacking commanders. It's not going to spike, but at this price there's no reason to leave it out of any red-white deck that wants to attack.
