Skyrider Patrol puts a flying, vigilance creature on board that grows itself and a teammate every time you tap four mana — reasonable floor, real ceiling in go-wide token strategies. The rate is fair enough for Limited but too slow for any competitive Constructed format.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Skyrider Patrol sees no meaningful play in Legacy, Modern, or Pioneer — the competition at three mana is simply too stiff, and a 2/3 that requires additional investment to matter doesn't clear the bar. Commander is the only home worth discussing: the activated ability scales well in token decks that already want to flood the board, and vigilance means Skyrider Patrol attacks without tapping out of the pump activation. Even there, it sits comfortably in the bottom tier of Simic go-wide options and mostly appears in budget or precon-adjacent lists.

Price Context
Current price
$0.11 bulk tier
At $0.11, Skyrider Patrol is deep bulk — buy a dozen and barely dent your budget. Demand is low enough that this price is a ceiling, not a floor; it's unlikely to move in either direction.
