Skymarcher Aspirant is a one-mana 2/1 with flying once you hit city's blessing — a legitimate threat that punishes go-wide strategies by taxing opponents into ascend range fast. The ceiling is real, but the floor is a vanilla 2/1, so it earns its slot only in dedicated token or weenie shells.

In Commander, Skymarcher Aspirant is a fringe inclusion — city's blessing is trivially achieved at a multiplayer table, so the flying usually comes online by turn three or four, but a 2/1 flier is barely relevant at that scale unless you're already flooding the board with tokens. In Pioneer and Modern, aggressive white weenie decks can use it as a low-curve threat that upgrades mid-combat, though it competes hard with better one-drops in those formats. Legacy and Vintage have zero interest. Skymarcher Aspirant is at its best in Pioneer vampire or soldier aggro shells where the early curve naturally accelerates ascend and evasion closes games.

$0.14 bulk tier
At $0.14, Skymarcher Aspirant is deep bulk — no financial hesitation required when testing it. Demand is narrow enough that the price has nowhere meaningful to go, so pick up copies freely and don't hold for value.
