Skyclave Geopede enters as a 3/1 with haste and landfall — hit a land drop the turn it comes down and you're swinging for 6 out of nowhere. The ceiling is high but the floor is a 3/1 for three, which doesn't survive long enough to matter in most Commander games.

In Commander, Skyclave Geopede fits landfall-heavy strategies — Omnath, Locus of Rage shells and anything running multiple fetch lands can trigger it consistently, but a 3/1 base body gets outclassed fast at a 4-player table. Modern and Pioneer have landfall aggro shells where it competes for a slot, but it loses out to higher-impact three-drops that don't require a land trigger to be relevant. Legacy and Vintage have no interest — the format speed and power density leave Skyclave Geopede far behind. It's a Commander role-player, and only then in decks that are actively doubling or tripling land drops.

Price Context
Current price
$0.09 bulk tier
At $0.09, Skyclave Geopede is deep bulk — you're paying for cardboard, not the card. Price is stable at this floor; there's no realistic reprint or demand spike that moves a three-mana aggro creature.
