Skybridge Towers enters tapped and produces colorless mana, which is a brutal tax on a card whose only upside is giving your creatures flying until end of turn for two mana. The activated ability is too expensive and too situational to justify a land slot that will slow you down every time you draw it early.

In Commander, Skybridge Towers competes against a deep pool of utility lands that either fix colors, produce colored mana, or provide repeatable value — and it loses that competition badly. The enters-tapped penalty is most punishing in a 100-card singleton format where you can't guarantee drawing it when you need the combat trick, and colorless mana from your land base has a real cost in three- and four-color decks. Pauper is the one format where budget constraints tighten the card pool enough that Skybridge Towers might see fringe play in aggressive Flying-matters builds, but even there better options exist. In Legacy, Modern, and Vintage, it simply doesn't register.

Price Context
Current price
$0.08 bulk tier
At $0.08, Skybridge Towers is deep bulk — the price reflects the demand accurately. Don't expect that to change; the card doesn't have a hidden use case waiting to be discovered.
