Sky Weaver gives target creature flying and protection from the color of your choice until end of turn — cheap combat trick, evasion enabler, and pseudo-removal dodge in one card. It's narrow enough that you're only running it in dedicated aggro or combat-centric Commander builds, but in those shells it punches above its mana cost.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Sky Weaver is legal in Commander, Legacy, Modern, Vintage, and Oathbreaker, but the formats where it actually sees play are vanishingly few. In Commander it has a real home in combat-focused decks that need on-demand evasion or need to slip a key attacker past a blocker at instant speed — think go-wide or Voltron strategies where a single unblocked swing closes the game. Legacy, Modern, and Vintage have faster and more impactful options at the same mana cost, so Sky Weaver doesn't register competitively in those formats. Oathbreaker is the one fringe case where, if your planeswalker's ultimate depends on connecting, it earns a second look.

Pricing data for Sky Weaver isn't available in the current market snapshot, so check Scryfall or TCGPlayer for the current floor. Given its narrow application, it's almost certainly a bulk rare or uncommon — pick it up if the deck calls for it, but don't expect meaningful price movement in either direction.
